Be Sure to Use A Real Ladder
We’ve all seen that “life can change in an instant” commercial, right? Who really wants to be the person in the neighborhood who is in a full body cast because they fell off a ladder?
Be sure that the ladder you’re climbing is sturdy and reliable to prevent any unexpected drops.
Use Insulated Light Holders
NEVER USE TACKS OR NAILS. This one seems obvious, but a lot of people don’t know — there is such a thing as an “insulated light holder” and it will prevent you from being electrocuted.
Make Sure You’re Using a Proper Outlet
A ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet, specifically. Those types of outlets will shut the circuit down if there is overcurrent, meaning that sparks won’t be flying in your house.
Use Waterproof Lights
Generally, Fresno is a dry area, but the rain does come by every now and again, especially in these colder months. Be sure your lights are waterproof — and yes they come in that variety.
